Melrose Police Department note calls still down

The Melrose Police Department handed out a total of 14 citations, and 92 warnings in the month of July, according to a report from the Melrose Police Department.

Meyer Family, Stearns 'U of M Farm Family' recognized

The Nick and Tara Meyer family of Sauk Centre, named Stearns County's "2010 Farm Family of the Year" by the University of Minnesota, was officially recognized at a special ceremony on Aug. 5 at Farmfest near Redwood Falls, Minn. The Meyer Family is one of 73 farm families from around the state, one from each participating county, honored by the University this year.
