Albany seniors Madi Sachs and Jesse Womack will experience the trip of a lifetime when they travel to Australia to compete in a track and field competition.
The company that organizes the trip is called Down Under Sports. They send hundreds of American high school athletes to Australia to compete in different sports, such as volleyball, basketball, football, wrestling, cheerleading, cross country and track and field. They monitor results throughout competition seasons and send out invitations to athletes for the competition in Australia. About 300 track and field athletes from the United States will compete at the meet this summer.
