Lester Cigelske, 76
The funeral service for Lester Cigelske of Hewitt was held Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek, with Pastor Paul Yearyean officiating. At the age of 76, Lester passed away unexpectedly, on Dec. 6, 2013 at the Tri-County Hospital in Wadena.
Lester Herbert Cigelske was born March 6, 1937 in Collegeville Township, near Avon, to Adolph and Olive (Lemke) Cigelske. He married Janet Klein on March 5, 1960, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Albany. He farmed in Avon and then moved to the Bertha-Hewitt area where he farmed until retiring in 2002. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Lester is survived by his wife Janet of Hewitt; daughter Cindy (Ron) Moritz of Alexandria; son Chris (Joyce Lindner) of Hewitt; granddaughters Taryn (Cody) Fingarson of Rosemount, Haley (Ryan Hartzell) Moritz of St. Paul; and great grandson Jaeger Fingarson; brothers Junior of Parkers Prairie, Laverne (LaVerne) of Avon; sisters Wilma Scheid, Jill Sabrowski, Erna Radtke, Ardell (Roger) Koehn and Valeria Christen all of Albany.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alvin, Virgil, Butch and Delroy; and sister Darlene Cigelske.
Serving as pallbearers were Cody Fingarson, Ryan Hartzell, Darla Hommerding, Matt Samuelson, Jeff Simon and Scott Kern.
Burial was in Oak Valley Cemetery near Hewitt.
