NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON SUPPLEMENTAL ASSESSMENTS

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Avon, Minnesota, will meet at the Avon City Hall in the City of Avon, Minnesota at 7 p.m. on December 2, 2013.

The City is required to conduct a supplemental assessment hearing whenever certified assessments are changed.  In this particular case, the City reduced your assessment, based upon your income eligibility and agreement to construct a home with a minimum value on your parcel of property locate din Avon Estates within one year.

When the City reduced your assessment, it reassigned payment of the reduction to Tax Increment Financing District No. 1-4.

The action contemplated by the City following the public hearing is simply a legal formality that will allow the City to comply with the laws that govern special assessments (Chapter 429 M.S.A. and Chapter 469.174 Subd. 11)

The Council proposed to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 429.M.S.A.

Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard at this meeting.  Written or oral objections will be considered.  A reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessments will be available at this meeting.
